Introducing Goose on the Loose
Introducing our version of Elf on the Shelf: “Goose on the Loose”! Each day, we’ll hide a goose on the Washington College website. Tune in to our social media platforms early every morning for a clue about where the goose is hidden (use the holiday lights as your guide!). Find the goose by 7:30 PM (EST), complete the form, and you’ll be entered into a daily drawing. Winners will be announced via social media each night at 8:00 PM (EST).

1. What is Goose on the Loose?!
Goose on the Loose is our version of Elf on the Shelf! Every day during December Match Days a goose will be hidden somewhere on the Washington College Website. Use the clues to find the goose for a chance to be entered to win some cool Washington College Prizes!
2. Who can participate in Goose on the Loose?!
All Washington College alumni, current and past parents, supporters, and friends are eligible to participate in Goose on the Loose.
3. How will I know where the Goose on the Loose is?!
Every morning we’ll release a poem on our socials that includes a clue to help you find where the Goose on the Loose is hidden that day! The clues will be underlined in holiday lights. (Tip: try searching for the clue in the search bar on washcoll.edu!)
4. What do I do when I find the Goose on the Loose?!
Click on the Goose! It will take you to a form where you’ll have three options to participate/ get an entry for the drawing.
1. Update your Contact Information
2. Share a Class Note (we love photos!)
3. Nominate someone for an Alumni Award
(Tip: only fill out one option per day so you can participate multiple days!)
5. What can I win?!
Some GOOSETASTIC prizes! We’ve got Yetis, totes, sweatshirts, goose golf balls, camo hats, blankets, aprons, goose cookie cutters, sets of signature Washington College glasses, and more! Check out the homepage for photos of the swag and the day you can win them!
6. How many times can I play Goose on the Loose?!
As many times as you like! Submit as many Class Notes and Alumni Award Nominations as you’d like! Please note, you can only update your contact information one time.
7. When do I find out if I've won?!
Each night at 8:00 PM we’ll announce the winner on our Instagram and Facebook Stories! Winners will also be notified through email the following day.
*Please note that faculty, staff, and students are not eligible for this promotion. Winners must have a valid email and mailing address on file and must reside in the US. Winners will be selected each night at 8:00 PM (EST) and will be announced via social media and notified by email the following day.
