An award-winning poet and teacher of Eco poetry, Meredith Davies Hadaway is the author of five collections of poetry. The most recent is [Among the Many Disappearing Things]. “Rivers and streams flow through many of the poems in this eloquent book, their quiet currents taking things with them and leaving other things behind. All that is in danger of disappearing from our world is celebrated and mourned in the poems here.” Hadaway holds an MFA in Poetry from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She is currently the Sophie Kerr Poet-in-Residence at Washington College, where she teaches literature and creative writing. She has received fellowships from the Virginia Center for Creative Arts, an Individual Artist Award from the Maryland State Arts Council and multiple Pushcart nominations. Her collection, At The Narrows, won the 2015 Delmarva Book Prize for Creative Writing. In addition to publishing poetry and reviews in numerous literary journals, she served for ten years as poetry editor for The Summerset Review. Location: Hynson Lounge, Washington College. Lunch will be served before the panel begins.
